thinking of keeeping a pet hippo

Bashy: hi mom on my way home from school  i found an pet hippo i named it "bruce" can i keep it?

Mom: Oh my word Bashy get that out of here, and there is no way you are keeping it!

Bashy: Please mom ill take jolly good care of it, i will feed it everyday and etc

Mom: and what will you feed Him , where will he sleep !

Bashy: ill feed him dog food and he can sleep in the pool mom

Mom: and how is this gonna work for the neighbours and my tea  club, if they see a hippo they will think im crazy and never come again!!

Bashy: No we can keep Bruce  in my room when guests come 

Mom: Ok fine bashy but the hippos responsibility is yours just if anything goes wrong it is your fault 

Bashy: Yes mom!  I fully understand thank you!! 

My powerful verb poem

I choose theese poems because they are my favourite hobby to do in my free time and i love the breeze of water and the dust in the air

Paddle,paddle I whispered  in my mind

As this big wave came crashing behind

I sprung up quick with a worry in my mind

I curved into this huge crashing wave behind

Am I dreaming I thought then thumped  on my face 

I hope I have such a magnificent  wave ever again .

Oh how nice it was when I jumped  up quick 

How this wave was so high and thick 

As I curved into this magnificent sight 

I realised it was bigger than high

So I focused hard and fell on my face 

Wow I whispered in my mind 

When I went down this slope that was so high

I hit the ramp at incredible speed 

As I went flying across the sky like a flea 

I thought I would die

So i burst into tears 

    

 

My life in a informal settlement

My name is Susan and I live in an informal settlement this morning I woke up and I was ice cold because of the water that had been leaking from the hole in the roof ❄️💧💦 I thought about my dads new job and if it was good  and school and how boring it is then suddenly I saw my clock it was 30 minutes till school started and I had to get ready! I ran to school. We only had 1 years t book in our class and School is 3 hours long and I am in grade 7 school was long and boring we learnt about the life cycle. Once school was done I had to walk home my route was a long narrow road between the sheds as I was walking I stepped on a sharp tin that had mud into it I yelled OUUUCH! my foot started to bleed but not badly, I saw a tap just as I sat down In the mud I limped with pain to it I got some water for the tap and put I on my cut it felt a bit better then I had to carry on walking home as soon as I got home it Was still a cut but wasn't as painful as it was earlier my 6 siblings where waiting for me at the lunch table today what is for lunch? I asked.today  Was a great treat we got cheese and tomatoe for lunch.Then me and my best friend Ellen played soccer  outside the small shacks we loved soccer we would play for 3 hours a day. it was night again every night before I went to bed I would wish for a better home and for a nicer school and collage I went to bed as cold as ever because of the Hole in the roof 

Next morning

I woke up early, mom woke me up GOODNESS SHE YELLED "dads new job has got us a house" she said I yelled with excitement when are we moving in I asked? Now said mom.i went to tell Ellen she felt great for us then it was time for us to leave, when we where on our way out of the township I thought that this place taught me how to be thankful of what I have.

The singing inspector

Last week the singing inspector came his name was Mr Raymond he wore big knickerbockers and had eyes that look likes warm, and soft peaches it looked pretty, he looked soft and kind but believe me he was the opposite he was the most hateful and mean man I've ever met in my life and why is he u ask this is why he called us into a hall and.Benny said this doesn't look good.It turned out it certainly wasn't, he looked as me as soon as we where all in he said what is use name Charles I said with a week voice. What songs can u sing Charles, can u sing Whale of the north no. I said we can sing pretty prolly ok begin then we all started to sing I had a pitch light voice it sounded very bad, every child was singing with a very scared voice at different times, it was a disaster, Mr Raymond Yelled this is a fail u kids can't sing to save life, there's no point of having to voiceless idiots in the choir 😋😋😋😋

The day of the ILT

Hello, I am  Sebastian Innes and today I am going to tell u about my experience of the ILT
My partner was Tai and we were very excited we were doing a special animal it was a slender mongoose, they are very rare and are found in Africa the Sahara desert. So  let me get to the day we first started off with a few math quiz which i didn't find very fun at all, then we got to design the Posters! this was a blast and we were working I tell you working! we got all our information like


interesting facts,diet,Habitat/home all of that stuff. then we had to get some decoration this was gonna be fun we where running all over the place and luckily for us Mr Raven left the classroom so we weren't going to get into trouble. Then was the hard part, making the actual poster we were scared at that time everyone was! we all scared we would do something wrong and have to redo the whole thing but for everyone,except us got it right we had doing it wrong the whole time and where very scared of re-doing, at the end we had to re-do it but we where actually excited we went and used all our Decoration things and made a really nice looking poster. Then this made us all actually furious we where all full of anger and where about to blow when Mr Raven said guess what i have for you,


we all said what, what with excitement, Mr Raven said  surprise, we where all gasping then he said  surprise test!!, and he wasn't kidding not 1 single bit,except the fact that it wasn't a test it was a Oral that is bad but you know what is worse A UNPREPARED ORAL! We had 1 whole hour to practice for our oral we all knew we would fail. The next day everyone was shaking and about to have a breakdown,Tai and i went up first, Mr raven said okay go we all had to choose a theme our theme was a Television show we went up and said our odd oral and turned out to be a great success we did really good

I ma very excited with my new blog i am very excited for blogging with my new blog i am  going to make a very popular new blog it will have lots of interesting facts i find grade 5 a great year so far and i love my teacher Mr.Raven he loves ice cream he is really addicted to it it was his birthday in januray and so was mine for my birthday i had a swimming party it was loads of fun all my friends came with like luke max calum olly and all thoose wonderful friends i really enjoyed it we did a down wind thing where we got kites and went down wind it was super fast the wind was blowing hectacly and it was like the best time of my like bang suddenly my wheel boke on my long board it was very frightning i was eally scared and  was now lossing in the race i didnt really care though at all i have a wonderful life and a school i enjoy it very mutch thank you so mutch my old teacher was mrs duminy she was a wonderful lady i loves her so mutch she was a great lady and always cared about other people thank you
